04-05-07 Well, I'm embarrassed by the amount of time that's passed since I've posted up here ... Too long! Family and work will keep you away from projects like this at times ... Anyway, I've been slowly working on projects at Swift R/C Racing Products. Check out the '07 Mini Mav photos and photos of the 1/12 on-road chassis. (look around the Conversion Kit Info tab for the new pages). Outdoor Racing has started early here in Nor-Cal this year. So, testing on all the chassis will continue and production parts will be out in the near future.

10-19-06 Added AC's setup from Arizona on the site. AC did great job at the SWT race, finishing 2nd overall and taking TQ on day 2. Flirted with the track record on day 2 as well. Showed that the Maverick chassis can run with the best of them at Sports Mania!

I've been working on the Mini Mav. Went back to the drawing board and changed the crossbrace, standoffs, nerf wing, upper pod plate, and chassis. Was very happy with the way Prototype #1 was handling, but it's just too heavy! So, Prototype #2 will be hitting the track on October 1st. I'm hoping the setup will just transfer over, and that we can go into products very soon. Pics coming soon!

06-29-06 Added some quick pics of the 1/12 on-road prototype. Minor site tweaks. Been working on some ideas for the 1/10 and 1/12 scale oval car. More testing and tuning as we search for ways to improve the design. More info soon!

04-26-06 Added info on the new '05.5 Update parts. Check out the "conversion kit" tab and then click on the "what's new" button. Please e-mail me if you have any questions, or post them up on our HobbyTalk thread.

04-23-06 Added some photos of Mr. Butts's brushless car. Worked on the links section and minor site tweaks. Hope to have the '05.5 update parts in hand sometime this week. Will have info and pics up on the site ASAP.

New SRP shims and washers info added to the site. All kinds of 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 inch shims for pan cars (1/10 and 1/12). Also #4 shims for ball stud and t-plate shimming. 1/8" teflon washers for motors and hinge pins shimming. And, upper hinge pin shims in .005, .010, .020" sizes to really get rid of the slop in your on-road and oval front ends!

We've started our remodel at the hobby shop this week. Things will be a little hectic around here as the construction progresses. Still getting kits and parts out in a timely fashion, but there will be a few days that we are going to have to be closed for construction. I'll post info as I get the schedule.

Well, we all made it through another Snowbirds event! What a great race this was. Thanks to Mike, Julie and the Crew for all the fun.

Us California boys did pretty well. We had a great time hanging with the Maverick Crew from all over the States. Meeting new friends, or seeing people we haven't seen for a year, makes this race very special. DW had a rough weekend, but managed to put his 6 Cell Mod car in the B Main. AC put his Spt19 car in the B Main, excellent for his first 'Birds race! I snuck both my cars in the A, qualifying 9th in 1/12 Scale 19 and Spt19. I finished up 5th in 1/12 and 7th in 1/10. We've got brand new Maverick t-shirts made up! I'll post up the drawings when I get back. they are SWEET! They cost a small fortune, so we'll be selling them for a very reasonable $10.00 each.

01-25-06 Added pics of Randy Bryant's OPC with telemetry installed to the Photos section. Been getting things ready for the Snowbirds race! Can you believe, DW is entered in 6 Cell Modified? Awesome! We're building up a special car for this class, minor tweaks to handle the extra torque and excelleration the motor and battery combo produces. Also working on a protoype Mini Mav. More info coming soon!

10/17/05 Results from the Roar Region 12 Carpet Oval Champs. AC qualified 3rd in 19 Turn, had a very fast car, but finished in 6th (bad luck). DW put his Maverick 3rd on the grip in Expert Modified, and finished up in 3rd (after charging up from the back after a wreck). Jake TQ'ed and won 1/12 Scale.

10/10/05        Wondering what we've been up to lately? Well, here's a little insite ... Having a baby join the Maverick Team has slowed me down a tad bit over the last 4 months ... The little guy is absolutely awesome, but it turns out that I'm not superman and I couldn't juggle the lack of sleep, a hobby shop, r/c racing, and the Maverick design work .... Something had give, luckily it was not my sanity.
       But, things with Nathan are mellowing out now. He's almost sleeping all night long! This means, I'm almost sleeping all night long too (well, most nights). So, design work and prototype projects are back in full swing. If you should have any input or ideas you wish to share about the '05 chassis, please e-mail me at the link below.
       Right now DW and I are testing a few oval ideas. Minor tweaks right now. Sorry, can't tell you too much, more info and pics coming soon as the projects prove themselves! I've also been testing some ideas on the Mini Mav, pics and info coming soon.
       I can tell you about something, we've cut up a 1/12 on-road conversion. Yes, I said on-road. Pics are up on the site, look in the "Conversion Kit Info" section. Rod Parker and I have been testing it on asphalt, with very promising results. Carpet testing, with the carpet version, will begin very soon.

08/15/05 Added Jimmy Flack's setup for C&W Speedway. Added photos of Mike Burbey's new purple OPC (Looks sweet!). Congrats to Justin Tuey for wining the 19 turn class at the KC Racing Flattrack 150 Race!

07/30/05 Jimmy Flack wins the 4 Cell Stock class at the NORRCA North Carolina State Paved Oval Champs! Congrats Jimmy!

Jimmy had this to say "Man the '05 OPC was great all weekend. I won the 4 cell Stock class at the Norrca North Carolina State Paved Oval Championship at C&W Speedway in Asheville, NC. I qualified 2nd, 1.78sec off of TQ. We are the only 2 to ever go 47 laps in the 4 cell stock class at C&W. The chassis was great all weekend. Thanks for a great car."

04/18/05 Added another article to the Technical section. This one on using scales. Added info, pricing and pics, on our Banked Track Tray. We expect the '05 OPC chassis in late this week, pics and info will be added asap.

03/27/05 Added Matt Groll's Mini Mav photos to the site. The '05 OPC design is complete and it will be sent to the cutter this week. Expected release is sometime late April, early May.

03/14/05 Minor site work today. Added Jimmy Flack's '05 setup, and a new article in the Technical section. Brad and I are working on the '05 OPC chassis, and some other cool ideas. More info coming soon!

2/17/05 Well, the Snowbirds race has come and gone and it's time to get back to work. What a great week or racing, hanging out with friends, and meeting new people. DW and myself really had a great time. DW ended up in the D-Main of 4 Cell Mod, and I ended up in the D-Main of Expert 19 Turn (taking the win). I also took the Mini Mav into the A-Main of 1/12 Scale 19 Turn, finishing 4th overall.

2/06/05 Added some of our new option parts to the product lising page. Check out the highlighted section at the bottom of the product listing page. We're off to the Snowbirds tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to seing everyone there. Please stop by our booth and say hello!

1/26/05 Worked on the site. Added more photos to the photos section. Completely reworked the '05 Maverick section, new pictures and text! Added another Tech Article, from DW, on Silva Concepts micro shock tips.

1/22/05 Thank you to everyone who has ordered kits. (www.jphracing.com) They have all shipped out and we're ready for more orders! Worked on the site a little, adding some new Racer's Rides in the "photo" section, and a few more pictures in the '05 Maverick section.

1/13/05 Got the aluminum parts in today, and they will be sent to the anodizing shop in the morning. This means, we're very close to having the '05 conversion kits ready to sell! On the site, I added another article in the"Technical" section, and posted DW's 4 cell mod carpet setup.

1/05/05 The Holidays are wrapping up and it's time to get back to work on the race stuff! Added a new setup for Kranzle's Raceway, added to the Photos section, and put up some new pics in the '05 Maverick section. Speaking of the '05, things are running a little behind at the machine shops. These guys work on their own schedule and unfortunately, at times, it's a slow one. At the moment, things are only a week or two behind on the release of the new kit. More info soon.

12/16/04 Been very busy around the shop with the Holiday Season, haven't had much time to add updates but there's some new stuff coming soon. The '05 production is going well. The companies making our parts seem to be on schedule at the moment, so things are looking good for an early '05 release. Thanks for all the positive e-mails about the new design!

Also, thank you to all who wrote in to let us know how much they liked the new design. The '05 Maverick "wowed" more than one racer, that's for sure! 11/29/04 Added more pages, more photos, more info ... The files went to the cutter, so the carbon fiber parts are in the works right now for the '05 car! The files for the aluminum parts are going too, and that process may take a little longer (bids, ok's, machine time, etc ...) But, I'd say things are going well so far, and a late december, early January release date is looking good.

11/24/04 Added a couple new pages. One on older projects. And, some pics and info on the prototype '05 Maverick!

11/22/04 Finalizing the design on the '05 .... Should be off to the production guys by the end of the week!

11/4/04 The Mini Mav 1/12 oval conversion kits are released. JPHRacing.com has them for sale. Worked on the site, adding more info to the kit section, and adding the article on front suspension.

10/31/04 Added some basic info to site. The Mini Mav kits are just about ready to be sold! We're waiting for the aluminum parts to get back from the anodizing shop (hopefully another day or two). Also, making good head away on the '05 Maverick the last week or so. Racing has been going well, testing parts, designs, and ideas that might make it to the new chassis.
